Eurialo Castle
The Castle Euryalus represents the culmination of the fortification of the city of Syracuse whose name apparently alludes to that of greek Euryelo (head nail).

Voluto by Dionisio I, tyrant of Syracuse, stands on the highest point (120 m above sea level) of terrace of Epipoli district at about 7 km from Siracusa, in the direction of the hamlet of Belvedere. The entrance of the castle is protected by three ditches.
